SUMMARY:Women Holding Grief
DESCRIPTION:« All Events \nWomen Holding Grief\nSaturday 30 May\, 2026\nfrom\n10:00\n–\n16:00 \nLittle Dutch Farm\, Blokdijk 5\, 1608HH\, Wijdenes\n\n\nAdd to calendar \n  \n\nGoogle Calendar\niCalendar\nOutlook 365\nOutlook Live\n\nRetreat Theme\nA day of softness\, safety\, and remembrance \nThe loss of a child\, or the grief of miscarriage\, can be deeply life-altering and profoundly lonely. This kind of loss does not only live in the heart—it also lives in the body. Many women notice that grief brings ongoing tension\, fatigue\, overwhelm\, or a sense of being disconnected from themselves. \nWhat is often left unspoken is how grief can dysregulate the nervous system. The body may remain in a state of heightened alert\, where true rest and relaxation no longer come naturally. This retreat day is an invitation to gently soften that state\, at your own pace\, in the presence of nature and other women who understand. \nFrom our own experience with grief\, we know how important it is to be met without fixing\, rushing\, or explaining. This day offers a safe\, compassionate space where everything you carry is welcome. \n\nBenefits Nature Retreat\n \nDetails\n\nGroup size:\n4-8\nGroup mix:\nFemale only\n\nPricing\nPrice for Day Retreat is \n€139\,00 \nincl. VAT \nPrice includes vegetarian farm to table lunch\, tea from tea garden and healthy snacks. \nWant to come with a friend? Buy 2 tickets or more and get 10% discount. Take a moment to breathe in the open landscape\, feel your feet on the ground\, and allow your body to sense that it has arrived in a safe and caring place. There is no need to speak or do—simply to be. \n10:00 – Tea Ceremony & Opening Circle\nWe begin the day with a calming tea ceremony\, using herbs and plants connected to the land. This simple ritual helps the nervous system settle and marks the opening of our shared space.\nYou will be gently introduced to the themes of the day: grief\, loss\, safety\, and gratitude. Together we create a supportive circle\, with clear agreements around choice\, confidentiality\, and self-care. Sharing is always optional—you are welcome to speak\, listen\, or remain silent. \n10:45 – 12:30 – Mindful Nature Exercises & Sharing Circle\nGuided by nature and gentle coaching\, we engage in reflective\, body-based exercises that support regulation and grounding. These practices help you reconnect with your body\, release held tension\, and notice what is present—without needing to change it.\nNature becomes a quiet companion and co-regulator\, offering steadiness and spaciousness. We move between individual reflection and a compassionate sharing circle\, where stories and emotions can be witnessed with care and respect. \n12:30 – 13:00 – Rest & Transition\nA short pause to rest\, journal\, or simply be outdoors\, allowing the morning experiences to settle. \n13:00 – 13:30 – Farm-to-Table Lunch\nWe share a nourishing\, comforting lunch prepared with seasonal vegetables from the Little Dutch Farm garden. Eating together is part of the healing—offering warmth\, simplicity\, and connection. Conversation is gentle and optional; silence is equally welcome. \n13:30 – 14:00 – Mindful Meditation Nature Walk\nAfter lunch\, we take a slow\, mindful walk through the farm and surrounding landscape. Guided invitations help you connect to your senses\, your breath\, and the rhythm of your steps. The walk supports grounding\, digestion\, and gentle integration of the day so far. \n14:00 – 16:00 – Continued Connection\, Ritual & Closing\nIn the afternoon\, we deepen into practices that honour both grief and gratitude—without forcing balance or positivity. Through simple\, nature-based rituals\, we acknowledge what has been lost\, what is still carried\, and what continues to matter. \nLocation\nAt our regenerative farm\, from 1901\, sustainably renovated with respect for nature\, you will find peace and space. The farm features a small meadow with four horses\, an orchard full of fruit trees\, a flourishing vegetable garden\, and a pond filled with water lilies\, ducks\, and frogs\, accompanied by a cheerful choir of birds. \nMiss & Tommie\, our farm cats\, and our Bernese Mountain Dog\, Balou\, warmly welcome you to Little Dutch Farm\, where nature and simplicity come together. \nAddress: Little Dutch Farm\, Blokdijk 5\, Wijdenes\nBy car: free parking available\nBy public transport: Train to Hoorn Station and free pick up (please sign up for this during checkout) \n \nReviews\nThe togetherness and intimacy I experienced during the retreat with Kim at Little Dutch Farm brought me so much. Being outdoors\, embracing and accepting the weather\, greatly enhanced and strengthened the coaching process. The hosting and catering facilitation were more than complete\, and I felt extremely welcome. Personally\, I felt and received all the space I needed for my own process. I concluded this retreat with a sense of satisfaction and contentment.\nKarin\nWhat a wonderful day\, free from the hustle and bustle of normal life.. A chance to truly breath and reflect on myself. We so often rush through life and we put ourselves last. A day on The Little Dutch Farm was like honey for the soul. Kim was amazing\, friendly and kind and passionate about her desire to share the gifts that nature has to offer with others. The food was delicious and the effort that Kim loving puts into every detail of her workshop is evidence of the passion Kim has for her retreats. I felt that I left the Farm calmer and with positive memories and constructive thoughts to take into my everyday life. Thank you\nMandy\nA perfect day in the outdoors not too far from Amsterdam. Kim is a very warm and welcoming lady that makes you feel pampered and at ease. You can totally switch off from your daily routine\, disconnect from technology\, everything is taken care of. One can enjoy the Dutch nature\, delicious home cooked food with fresh ingredients from the kitchen garden. The groups are small and the activities are carefully chosen to work on the topic of the retreat. I highly recommend this nature coaching retreat in “Little dutch farm’’!\nMargarita\nPrevious\nNext \nFacilitator(s)\n \nKim Taylor\nNature Coach\nKim’s mission at Little Dutch Farm is to harness the healing power of nature to foster authentic connections and empower individuals\, teams\, and leaders. By integrating garden therapy and nature coaching\, she provides a supportive environment for personal and professional growth. Kim’s work helps people realign their strengths\, clarify their vision\, and embrace nature’s transformative potential for enhanced well-being. \n \nPietje van der Minne\nGrief Counsellor\nIn December 2016\, my son Louis was born; three weeks later\, he passed away in our arms. His loss brought intense sorrow and a deep grieving process\, causing profound trauma to both body and mind. Through spending time in nature\, the support of loved ones\, and body-oriented therapy\, I found space for my emotions and felt my nervous system begin to settle.\nWhat I personally missed was a safe place with like-minded people\, where I felt free to share. That is why I now want to support other women who are experiencing loss\, so that they too can have a safe space to grieve\, feel warmth\, and soften. To this day\, I consciously care for myself every day and continue to find my own path in this. I am therefore always curious about the wisdom of other women who are walking this journey alongside me. \nAdditional information\nRetreats will go ahead in all weather conditions except for weather warnings yellow\, orange or red. Then the retreat will be cancelled and you will be refunded. \nThe event is fully outdoors so please dress appropriately. \n \nWhy do a nature retreat at Little Dutch Farm?\nCommunity and Connection: \n\nSpend time with like-minded people.\nBuild real connections with fellow participants.\n\nPersonal Insights and Growth: \n\nGain new self-awareness and life insights.\nUnderstand and accept your personal roles and expectations.\n\nRelaxation and Mindfulness: \n\nExperience the calming benefits of nature.\nSlow down and focus on yourself in a peaceful environment.\n\nNature and Environment: \n\nEnjoy being outdoors\, regardless of the weather.\nDisconnect from technology and life’s stresses.\n\nReflection and Clarity: \n\nExpress and explore your personal desires and priorities.\nAchieve clarity on prioritizing thoughts and feelings.\n\nRoutine Break and Restoration: \n\nTake a break from daily routines.\nFind restorative silence and space.\n\n\n\n\n\nSpring retreat on the farm: wild flavours and mindful connection \n\nUnwinding & Softening
